Connecting Outlook

BaseMailer supports Outlook so you can send emails from your Microsoft account with ease and reliability.

Steps to Connect Outlook

  1. Go to the Sender Accounts tab
  2. Click + New Account
  3. Select Outlook from the connection options
  4. A Microsoft login window will open — sign in with the Outlook account you want to use
  5. Accept the requested permissions to authorize BaseMailer
  6. Once connected, your account will be listed with a Connected status

Name and Alias

You can set Name and Alias when you click the Edit button on a sender account in the Sender Accounts list.

Name

The Name is the sender name recipients see in their inbox (example: Sales Team).

Alias (Optional)

The Alias is the From email address BaseMailer will send from (example: sales@yourdomain.com).
If you leave it empty, BaseMailer sends from your connected Outlook address.

Requirement: Your Microsoft admin must grant Send As (or similar) permission for that alias/shared address.

Notes

  • You can add multiple Outlook accounts per workspace
  • If access is revoked or expires, you can reauthorize the connection anytime
  • Outlook accounts are tied to individual workspaces — other workspaces won’t share senders
  • Outlook (Microsoft 365) typically allows sending up to 10,000 recipients per day, but may throttle email sending (e.g., ~30 emails/minute). Limits vary by plan and account activity.
