Connecting Gmail

BaseMailer allows you to send emails using your Gmail account for better deliverability and personalization.

Steps to Connect Gmail

  1. Go to the Sender Accounts tab
  2. Click + New Account
  3. Choose Gmail from the options
  4. A Google sign-in window will appear — log in with the Gmail account you want to use
  5. Grant the required permissions to authorize BaseMailer
  6. After successful connection, your Gmail account will appear in the list

✅ Status will show as Connected once your Gmail is ready to send

Name and Alias

You can set Name and Alias when you click the Edit button on a sender account in the Sender Accounts list.

Name

The Name is the sender name recipients see in their inbox (example: BaseMailer Support).

Alias (Optional)

The Alias is the From email address BaseMailer will send from (example: support@yourdomain.com).
If you leave it empty, BaseMailer sends from your connected Gmail address.

Requirement: Your Gmail/Google Workspace account must be allowed to send as that alias address, otherwise sending can fail.

Notes

  • You can connect multiple Gmail accounts if needed
  • Each workspace can have its own set of sender accounts
  • Only users with access to the Gmail account can reauthorize if disconnected
  • Gmail has a daily sending limit — 500 emails/day for regular accounts and 2,000 emails/day for Google Workspace accounts. Be sure to stay within these limits to avoid delivery issues or account suspension.
